Island / Saint Lucia

RFID key cards and wristbands for Saint Lucia’s hillside resorts.

Saint Lucian resorts are frequently built into terrain, with rooms, restaurants and beach areas on different levels connected by shuttles and stairs. Credentials get presented constantly in transit, and the wedding and couples market adds a keepsake dimension.

Operating reality

What Saint Lucia asks of an RFID credential.

Product and specification decisions follow how the island's properties actually run.

01

Multi-level movement

A band rather than a card, because a credential taken out of a pocket at every level gets dropped.

02

Weddings and celebrations

A short-run keepsake credential for a group, produced alongside the property's standard stock.

03

Couples and long stays

Comfortable continuous-wear materials for guests who keep the band on for a full week.

04

Shuttle and facility points

Consistent read behaviour at points mounted differently across the site.

RFID products

Saint Lucia RFID products for repeated movement between levels.

The room card and the continuously worn band solve different parts of a hillside resort journey. We specify both against the same installed system, then approve each physical body separately.

01

RFID hotel key cards for Saint Lucia rooms

We manufacture Saint Lucia RFID key cards for the room and for controlled staff functions where a familiar carried credential remains appropriate. When the installed system accepts CR80, the card is 85.6 × 54 mm and 0.76 mm, with its material, finish, front, reverse and numbering fields approved together. The working reference establishes whether production requires 125 kHz LF or 13.56 MHz HF/NFC. A room card can anchor the check-in handover, but it should not automatically be extended to every restaurant, shuttle or beach presentation point. Repeated handling on stairs and between levels is the operational test that decides whether a second wearable product is required.

RFID wristbands for Saint Lucia movement and continuous wear

We produce Saint Lucia RFID wristbands for guests who present the credential while moving between rooms, pools and beach areas. Silicone fits regular water exposure; organic cotton or another textile direction belongs where comfort and a defined wear profile outweigh immersion. The closure must stay comfortable without making the band casually transferable, and the RFID presentation is tested before the body is released. Wedding or celebration artwork is managed within the 500-piece minimum per design. A rigid card as the only credential is wrong where guests must retrieve it at every level; a textile band is wrong where daily swimming is the dominant condition.

Manufacturing record for Saint Lucia

Room card
CR80, 85.6 × 54 mm, 0.76 mm where the system requires that body
Wearable role
Movement, pool, beach or celebration use defined before material selection
Material direction
Silicone for regular water; textile only for a confirmed wear and drying profile
RFID evidence
125 kHz LF or 13.56 MHz HF/NFC tested on representative access points
Design minimum
500 pieces for each approved standard or celebration design

Compatibility and encoding remain conditional on the installed system and the approved working sample.

Detail

Why the Saint Lucia RFID specification changes.

Terrain argues for the band over the card

On a site where guests move between four or five levels a day, a card comes out of a pocket at every point and eventually goes over a railing. A worn band is presented without being handled. This is the clearest case in the region for specifying a wristband as the primary credential and treating the room card as secondary or absent.

Celebration artwork must still fit the production minimum

Wedding and anniversary groups may want a credential that belongs to the occasion, but each separate design still carries a 500-piece minimum. We therefore ask whether the artwork can remain useful across a season, whether a variable identifier can sit inside the property's standard design, or whether the group genuinely needs its own production record. Final files, wear period and group use are settled together so a decorative request does not create unusable surplus stock.

Continuous wear in heat

Guests here wear a band all week rather than putting it on for a pool session. That moves the material choice towards bamboo fibre, organic cotton and cloth stretch for comfort, and away from anything rigid at the closure. Where the band also has to survive daily sea swimming, silicone remains the honest answer even though it is the less refined object.

Technical depth

How we turn the Saint Lucia brief into a controlled product.

These are manufacturing controls, not assumed functions of a hotel system.

Keep room access and event entitlement as separate releases

A property can serve overnight guests, day visitors and event attendees in the same week, but those populations should not be collapsed into one credential. The room card follows the installed door system and retained working reference. An event or amenity wristband follows the wear period, water exposure, transfer rule and checkpoint routine. Even when both use 13.56 MHz HF/NFC, that frequency alone does not establish interchangeability. We approve the product body, RFID requirement, artwork, closure, colourway and numbering for each role, then pack them as separate issue stock so a busy desk can distinguish them without a reader.

Use visible controls that survive low-light and wet conditions

Colour can help identify a day, access tier or attendee group, but it should not carry the whole control rule. We pair colour with a printed mark or number that remains legible under venue lighting and after normal wear. The sample review includes closure operation, guest sizing, print position and the presentation point for the embedded credential. Where the band is expected to enter pools or remain on across several days, the chosen body is tested in that use pattern. A visually attractive band that twists away from the reader or transfers intact is a failed operational product.

Wrong fit

When the Saint Lucia product direction is wrong.

A room card alone is wrong for a Saint Lucia journey that requires constant presentation between levels and wet areas. A celebration-specific design is also wrong when the property cannot use its 500-piece minimum beyond one small group. The manufactured format must fit both movement and stock reality.
