Caribbean RFID's organic cotton RFID wristbands are manufactured from 100% organic cotton textile with an ultra-thin RFID inlay sealed within a protective inner layer. The result is a credential that guests describe as noticeably more comfortable than conventional silicone — soft against the skin, breathable in tropical heat, and unlikely to cause the skin irritation or allergic reactions that synthetic materials can trigger during multi-day wear.

For eco-luxury properties where guest wellbeing and environmental integrity are both priorities, organic cotton wristbands represent the convergence of both objectives. They deliver the full functionality of a conventional RFID credential — room access, cashless payments, spa and amenity access — while eliminating petroleum-derived materials from the guest-worn credential entirely.

OEKO-TEX Standard 100 Certification

Every component of Caribbean RFID's organic cotton wristbands — the fabric, dyes, threads, fastenings, and embedded RFID module — is tested against the OEKO-TEX Standard 100 criteria, which cover over 100 potentially harmful substances including formaldehyde, heavy metals, azo dyes, pesticide residues, pH value, and allergenic colourants.

OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certification is laboratory-tested by accredited, independent institutes — not a self-declaration. It is renewed annually. This independent certification provides the documentation that Caribbean and Latin American eco-resorts require for Green Globe, Travelife, EarthCheck, and CAST sustainability audit submissions, and enables direct guest communication about the safety and sustainability of the credential they wear throughout their stay.

MIFARE Chip Options

Organic cotton wristbands are available with MIFARE Classic 1K, DESFire EV2, or DESFire EV3 chip configurations, covering all major hotel lock systems. MIFARE DESFire EV2 and EV3 support multi-application use — room access, cashless payment, spa charging, and beach club entry stored on a single wristband credential. Caribbean RFID confirms the correct chip specification for your lock system before manufacturing.

Custom Branding Options

Organic cotton wristbands offer multiple branding approaches to suit different property requirements and budgets:

• Woven label — highest quality brand execution, logo and property name woven directly into the textile. Permanent, premium, tactile.
• Embroidery — logo or motif embroidered on the wristband face.
• Sublimation printing — full-colour design on a polyester element integrated into the wristband.

Custom textile colours are available to match your property's brand palette. A pre-production physical sample is provided before full manufacturing on all custom orders.

Water and Environmental Performance

Organic cotton wristbands are moisture-resistant and perform well in typical tropical resort conditions: poolside splashing, perspiration, tropical rain, and beach environments. The RFID module maintains full function in these conditions. For guests who continuously swim while wearing their wristband, Caribbean RFID's IP68-rated silicone wristbands are the more appropriate choice — organic cotton wristbands are not designed for prolonged full submersion.
